Underwater Base

started as a bit of lunch doodling at work and then kept going with it as a little design exercise. in some part I was also looking at the beneath the waves competition here and I got influenced by that to do this. I also read "in plain sight - beyond the x-files" by Dr. Richard Sauder PHD. its by far the best book on under sea and underground bases you can read. real old school journalism, the real deal. in that book were us navy plans and illustrations for futuristic bases from the 60s and 70s that they went and built with all our tax money. its really fascinating material. if your into secret bases i highly recommend the read. hyper loop is a 50 year old idea that was built in the 60s and 70s underground in secret. i find it amusing that musk is putting the tech out in public now. its a strange world we live in....
